Wired decided to feature a cover story about the small tsunami of suicides in the Chinese factory where your favorite Apple phone is made, which IMHO turns about to be nothing more than a rant about why it's better to Buy American. Ah well, I guess time will tell, just to be on the safe side I think I am going to learn some Chinese.I liked the article about "The overlords of Open Source" better. It has a nice quote from Julian Assange "I enjoy creating systems on a large scale, and I enjoy helping people who are vulnerable, and I enjoy crushing bastards." Pointing out that Assange should be careful not to become the bastard crushed by others is an interesting way of viewing things and is eloquently described by the writer, Matt Schwartz.
The article about sterilizing an elephant is ...uh.. kinda disturbing, seeing the size of the thingies he has. They are located in his back btw, the more you know..
There's lots more, giant six-legged walking robots, wiffle ball aerodynamics, and make sure to check out Mr. Know-it-all, I love him.
Have fun.
